Climate Change Testimony Was Edited by White House
The White House made deep cuts in written testimony given to a Senate committee this week by the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on health risks posed by global warming, but the director agreed yesterday with administration officials who said the cuts were part of a normal review process and not aimed at minimizing the issue.

Overview of the Division of Developmental Disabilities Olmstead Plan
The New Jersey Department of Human Services' (DHS) Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) submitted a plan today to Governor Jon Corzine and the New Jersey Legislature to expand community support and housing for people with developmental disabilities. The plan, “Path to Progress,” describes what will be needed to assist 1,850 of the 3,025 people who live in the state's seven developmental centers to move into community homes over an eight-year period.

Department Invest $6.8 Million in Matching Training Grants To Businesses in High-Growth Sectors
Commissioner David J. Socolow of the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development today announced that the Department has awarded $7 million in High Growth Workforce Development training grants to 66 businesses. These matching grants will provide job training to increase the skills of 13,188 workers employed by firms selected through a rigorous competition among employers in targeted industry sectors. The companies will match the State's investment at least dollar for dollar with their own resources.
